Viewing Statistics  for hosted District Libraries

Find below instructions on how to view statistics for your hosted website, a variety of statistics can be viewed by month, year, unique visitors, browsers used, where users are coming from, which search engines they use and much more. It is easy to login and view. Know how many people are using your website. Know how many virtual users your library has.

These instructions include the following sections:

 

  • How to log-in to cPanel for your library website.
  • How view the web statistics for your library.

 

How to login to cPanel

 

1. In a browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox, browse to your library website and then add the following to your web address: /cpanel at the end of your library url as shown in the example below:


 

2. Press the enter key and you’ll be prompted for your username and password. If a message pops up about accepting a security certificate or error, then just click OK or yes.

 

3. Enter your username and password and click on “OK”. This is the same username and password that is used to login to edit your website.

 

4. When the CPanel home page appears as shown below, click on the Web/FTP Stats icon.

 

 

5. On the Web/Ftp Statistics page - Click on the Awstats link.

 

6. Click on the Awstats link shown above. This will open up a page that graphically displays your webpage statistics (as shown below), that is, how many users have accessed your website in a certain period of time. You can select the time period to display and look at other statistics by clicking items in the left column. If you want you can also try Webalizer and Analog that are included in the list above.
