provides the necessary information to establish or manage a human resource
function in a company. It provides policies, procedures, guidelines, sample
letters, forms and checklists that address common HR issues and problems. It
provides tips, glossaries, and most-used tables and formulas for quick
reference. A chapter, each, is devoted to samples of Personnel Letters and
Memos, Personnel Checklists, and Personnel forms. An accompanying CD allows
for customization of many of the letters and forms in the book, using
Microsoft Word.

not staffed with a formal personnel department. It makes its information
quickly accessible by providing a detailed table of contents as well as both
alphabetic and keyword indexes. The questioning--why, what where, how-format
of the book lends clarity to each personnel issue. Sample forms are grouped
together within each section and clearly identified in the contents, making
them easily accessible.

along with ready-to-use policy statement samples.
