Support Services for District Libraries

Here is the price list of services we offer for laminating, printing, and cleaning of audiovisual materials.
 
Printing and Design (Graphic Artist, Amanda Emig) -  $35 per hour
 
8.5"x11"    $.25 per sheet
8.4"x14"    $.30 per sheet
11"x17"     $.50 per sheet
 
For quantities over 500, please contact Melissa for pricing.
 
Laminating would be an additional $.10 per sheet.  Double sided would be double the cost of printing.
 
Posters  (22"x28")  $15.00   ($25 for laminated).  Printed on photographic paper.
 
VHS to DVD conversion -  $10 for 120 minutes  (Must be owner of material.  We DO NOT convert Disney VHS tapes or any other copyrighted materials to DVD).
 
Disc cleaning (CDs and DVDs) -  $2 per disc . Cleans, restores, and removes scratches

District Consultant - Melissa Rowse
Main duties are counseling, coordinating and stimulating awareness. The following is a brief description of these duties:

  • Consulting with library personnel, trustees, and government officials on library standards of librarianship and evaluation.
  • Coordinating Continuing Education for the District Library Center, District Advisory Council, County System Administrators, and library trustees.
  • Stimulating community awareness of the importance of libraries
  • Creation of a strategic/ marketing plan outlining the commitment and ability of the local library to meet the unique needs of their community in a fiscally responsible matter.
  • Training in advocacy and board development so library supporters can effectively articulate the library

Webmaster/Technology Trainer - Charles Ormsbee
Computer workshops for staff available in computer skills, using online resources, POWER Library, editing and maintaining web sites and other technology topics as requested. Schedule a workshop by contacting Charles

District libraries who would like help with their web sites should contact Charles for assistance. Services include;  Designing a new website, updating your library  site, adding interactive features such as forms, polls or surveys. The North Central Library District provides web hosting services for all District libraries, at no additional cost, who wish to use the service.


Overdrive Service - Sue Mayshock
Sue orders all audio and ebooks for the Overdrive service and is very knowledgeable about assisting patrons and library staff in using all facets of the service. Please contact Sue for questions or assistance as needed.


Reference Service - Beth Schetroma
Beth offers help with individual reference questions as well as helping libraries develop their reference tools. She coordinates the Ask Here PA service for the district. Contact Beth by phone, email or or through the Ask Here PA link on your web site.
